New Version of the RISM Online Catalog

RISM would like to announce the release of a new version of the online catalog. The content is the same, but there is a new interface with features that will make it easier to find musical sources.

New features include:

• Search for digitized music
• Autocomplete in the search boxes
• Boolean search (and, or, not)
• Incipit input using on-screen piano keyboard
• Sort results by year, title, or author
• Atom feeds
• Clearer attributions

The RISM online catalog currently contains over 860,000 records from 37 countries. It is updated monthly and is available free of charge worldwide. RISM publishes the online catalog in cooperation with the Bavarian State Library and the State Library of Berlin.

RISM präsentiert Ihnen eine neue Version des Online-Katalogs. Der Inhalt ist der gleiche, aber es gibt eine neue Schnittstelle mit Features, die die Suche nach musikalischen Quellen erleichtert.

Die neuen Features betreffen:

• Suche nach Digitalisaten
• Autocomplete in den Suchfeldern
• Bool'sche Suchoperatoren (und, oder, nicht)
• Incipiteingabe über die Klaviertastatur
• Sortierung der Trefferliste nach Jahr, Titel oder Komponist
• Atom-feed
• präzisere Darstellung der Komponistenzuschreibungen

Der RISM Online-Katalog enthält derzeit über 860.000 Nachweise aus 37 Ländern. Er wird monatlich aktualisiert und ist kostenlos zugänglich. RISM publiziert den Online-Katalog in Zusammenarbeit mit der Bayerischen Staatsbibliothek München und der Staatsbibliothek preußischer Kulturbesitz Berlin.
