Rita Kaizinger hatte es nicht so weit zur Konferenzstadt wie Frau Todo; sie reiste Budapest (Ungarn) an: IAML éves konferencia - Bécs 2013 Hála Bécs közelségének ebben az évben nyolc magyar résztvevő vett részt az IAML éves konferenciáján. A szomszédból nézve Bécs természetesen egész más arcát mutatja nekünk, mint annak, aki a tengerentúlról érkezvén esetleg most találkozik először az I. és a II. bécsi iskola otthonával.

Dear Colleagues, Mrs. Yasuko Todo sent her Conference impressions from Japan. It was not her first time in Wien. She has be there before when she went to the IAML conference in Cambridge (some years ago). She reports on the debate on a reform of the IAML structure and she describes her impressions of the excursion and the concerts and more...

Juliane Linke aus Dresden war zum erstenmal bei einer internationalen IAML-Konferenz. Sie kam Voller neuer Ideen und Musik im Kopf zurück… Einen besonderen Tag oder Höhepunkt aus der IAML-Konferenz auszuwählen fällt schwer, da ich nach der letzten Woche voller fachlicher Anstöße und zahlreicher schöner Erinnerungen übersprudele. Langsam „verdaue“ ich die gewonnen Kenntnisse, um sie dann in den Musikbibliotheksalltag einzubringen.

Jaakko Tuohiniemi schickt seinen Bericht aus Finland und hat freundlicherweise einen englischen Abstract beigefügt: (Some Personal Highlights of Vienna IAML Conference): Instead of being able to list only “the one best” of all of the wealth of the meeting, the author lists various “greatest” moments of the overheated week, viz from some excellent individual presentations to the happy-ending election in Council and from quality concerts to spirited collegial company.
