The mission of the International Association of Music Libraries, Archives and Documentation Centres (IAML) is to broaden access to music resources through international collaboration and advocacy, to support research, learning, performance and enjoyment. Our members open up the vast world of information and repertoire in their daily interactions with students, educators, researchers, musicians, and the general public. We work to promote and preserve musical heritage among diverse cultures as we recognise the importance of music in the lives of the world’s people. |

Please also note that the Organizing Committee has decided to extend the last date for standard price registration by two weeks. The last date for standard price applications will now be Monday 13th June 2011.

Elections will be held for Branch and Commission officers at the IAML conference in Dublin (2011). This is a good opportunity for those who want to take a more active role in the work of IAML. You are invited to indicate your interest by contacting the current Branch or Commission Chairs.
The new Dutch cabinet has threatened to close the Muzikcentrum van de Omroep (Netherlands Broadcasting Music Centre), a move that would end four musical ensembles and the library that serves them. After years of performances on world stages, over the radio waves, and online, the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic, the Netherlands Radio Chamber Philharmonic, the Netherlands Radio Choir, and the Metropole Orchestra could be silenced.
IAML Australia are delighted to announce that our video podcast from the 2010 Conference in Queensland is now available online to view, download or subscribe to via our blog at www.iamlaust.org. We welcome our international colleagues to view our vodcast to catch up on some of the interesting papers presented. We will also be including some of the papers in our next edition of Continuo, our branch journal.
