Massimo Gentili Tedeschi has been awarded the IFLA Scroll of Recognition
It is a great pleasure for me to announce that one of IAML’s Past Presidents, Massimo Gentili-Tedeschi, was awarded the prestigious IFLA Scroll of Recognition during the General Assembly that took place on 25 August in the Hague, the Netherlands. The IFLA President, Christine Mackenzie, thanks Massimo Gentili Tedeschi for his distinguished contribution to IFLA’s work on a wide range of standards and the Secretary General, Gerald Leitner, gives the motivation for the award.

Répertoire International de Littérature Musicale (RILM), the non-profit organization that documents and disseminates music research worldwide, has kicked off its global search for a Deputy Executive Director. This is a newly created position offering significant opportunity for professional growth with the expectation that, as mutually understood benchmarks and measures are met, the Deputy will assume increasing responsibility, ultimately becoming qualified for promotion to Executive Director.
The preliminary programme for the first online IAML Congress is now available and registration is open. It will be held between Monday 26 July and Friday 30 July.
A new tutorial for the Plaine & Easie Code is now available from the RISM Editorial Center in cooperation with the U.S. RISM Office at Harvard University. The Plaine & Easie Code is a library standard that is maintained by IAML and by RISM. It corresponds to MARC21 field 031.
