Seventy-six international, European and national music organisation are calling for policy makers to fully acknowledge the artistic, social and economic value of the music sector and to live up to these words in political decision making. IAML has co-singed an open letter on the value of music: "Claiming a front row seat for music".
IAML is one of the signatories of the Open Letter "Include Culture in Your National Recovery Strategies and Reactivate Cultural Life in Europe".
Dear IAML Colleagues and Friends,
The year 2020 has almost ended, a year that has been so different from any other year, a year during which the pandemic hit us all. The pandemic is still raging, more than ever in many parts of the world, but there is light at the horizon, several vaccines have been developed and are right now being approved of by the health authorities of our different countries. I hope that we will be able to meet and interact in ways that are more traditional in not so many months from now.
IAML Australia and IAML New Zealand are pleased to offer those working in music libraries in all sectors, an opportunity to meet, learn and discuss about how our libraries have managed the Covid-19 Pandemic, and how they will manage into the future.
You are invited to an online panel discussion organised by IAML on 15 December 2020.
