IAML Congress 2020 in Prague postponed

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and its increasing spread, the IAML Board and the Organizing Committee of the IAML Congress 2020 have decided to postpone the Congress in Prague to 2021 (new dates will be announced soon).

This has not been an easy decision to make. We were very excited to welcome everyone to Prague with a rich professional programme and an exciting series of accompanying events. But now our priorities are focused on the safety of all of us and our loved ones. We sympathize with all our colleagues in different parts of the world who are experiencing a very difficult time.

The Organizing Committee in Stellenbosch, South Africa, has also agreed to postpone the IAML Congress originally planned for next year. This will now take place on 19-24 June 2022. We are very grateful for their quick and supportive response.

We are aware that some colleagues had already made travel plans and we have made this decision as quickly as possible in the hope that they are able to recover at least some of the costs incurred. Registration fees that have already been paid will be refunded by the Organizing Committee, during April (for detailed information please ask amca@amca.cz).

The IAML Board will report back to all members with more details about our activity in the coming months.

Meanwhile we wish you the very best of health and look forward to welcoming you to Prague in 2021.
