Robert Cohen / RIPM Fund for IAML Congress Travel zu erhalten.
Der diesjährige internationale Kongress der Internationalen Vereinigung der Musikbibliotheken, -archive und -dokumentationszentren (IVMB / IAML / AIBM) fand in Stellenbosch, Südafrika, und damit zum ersten Mal in Afrika überhaupt statt.
We are deeply sad to inform you that our esteemed colleague Harald Heckmann passed away on Sunday, 5 November 2023, after a serious illness.
Nachdem ich 2020 in Bonn die Tagung der IAML Deutschland besucht hatte, war dies nun für mich die erste internationale IAML-Tagung. Da für mich als Musikwissenschaftler nicht alle musikbibliothekarischen Themen von Interesse waren, hatte ich mich für ein 2-Days-Ticket für Mittwoch und Freitag entschieden. Und natürlich stand der RISM-Day am Samstag auf dem Plan.
The 2019 conference of IAML Germany is taking place this week in Augsburg. Around 150 partipants from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland are gathering at the campus of the Universität Augsburg. The conference includes presentations about Augsburg‘s rich musical history and current topics in music librarianship, with reports from IAML Germany’s sections on education, public libraries, music schools, AV materials, and radio and orchestra libraries. Library visits, workshops, concerts, and a tour through an exhibit called “Mozart’s Fashion Worlds” round off the program.
