It is with sadness that we share news of the recent death of Prue Neidorf, long-time IAML member and founding Music Librarian at the National Library of Australia (NLA). Prue died surrounded by her family in Canberra on 18 January 2023.
Many of you will remember Prue from international congresses in the 70s (she first attended in Jerusalem in 1974) to the International Conference in Sydney in 2007. Prue was a major contributor to and leader in music librarianship and documentation in Australia over many years. She served in a range of roles including President and Executive member of IAML (Australia); and Board Member for the Australian Music Centre and Music Council of Australia. We will miss her wisdom and knowledge so generously shared. Vale Prue.
