Invitation to Edinburgh
IAML(UK) is proud to announce the city of Edinburgh for the 2000 IAML Conference. Organised by the UK Branch of IAML, the planning committee is drawn from throughout the UK, including many representatives from Scotland.
August 6 - 11 2000. We shall be using the facilities of the University
of Edinburgh. All Conference sessions will take place at Appleton Tower
on the George Square Campus, with excellent and economic residential accommodation
at nearby Pollock Halls. Events during the week will take place in some
of the magnificent buildings Edinburgh has to offer and Wednesday afternoon
tours are being based on the rich history of Scotland.

The Conference week is immediately before the Edinburgh International Festival. The Festival will make an excellent post-conference activity, but you will need to book accommodation for the post-conference week very soon.

IAML(UK) a le plaisir d'annoncer que la Cité d'Edimbourg accueillera la Conférence IAML en l'an 2000. Formé par la branche UK, le comité d'action est composé de membres de tout le Royaume Uni, y inclus de nombreux représentants de l'Ecosse.
Date: 6 - 11 août 2000. La Conférence profitera des facilités offertes par l'Université d'Edimbourg. Toutes les sessions de la Conférence auront lieu à Appleton Tower dans le campus George Square qui vous offre des conditions de résidence excellentes à Pollock Halls, et à prix abordables. Les événements culturels de la semaine se dérouleront dans le cadre historique de la vieille cité d'Edimbourg et les visites organisées le mercredi après-midi vous feront décrouvrir la riche histoire de l'Ecosse.
Notre Conférence sera immédiatement suivie du Festival International d'Edimbourg, une merveilleuse opportunité de rester un plus longtemps en Ecosse et de profiter d'un programme culturel de haute qualité. Si vous êtes tenté, nous vous recommendons de faire vos réservations au plus tôt car il ne vous reste plus qu'à peine un peu plus de 1000 jours!

IAML(UK) ist stolz, die Stadt Edinburgh als Sitz der IAML 2000 Konferenz anzukündigen. Das Planungskomitee des IAML(UK) besteht aus Mitgliedern aus ganz Grossbritannien einschließlich mehrerer Vertreter Schottlands.
Wir werden die Konferenzmöglichkeiten der Universität von Edinburgh nutzen. Alle Konferenzveranstaltungen werden im Appleton Tower des George Square Campus staffinden, Unterbringung ist in den nahegelegenden Studentenwohnheimen, den Pollock Halls, vorgesehen. In der Woche vom 6.-11. August werden Veranstaltungen in einigen der prachtvollsten Gebäuden, die Edinburgh zu bieten hat, stattfinden und die Nachmittagsausflüge am Mittwoch werden sich mit der reichen Geschichte Schottlands befassen.
Die Konferenzwoche findet unmittelbar vor dem International Edinburgh Festival statt, das sich gut an die Konferenz anschließt. Das Musikfestival bietet sich daher als ideale Anschlußaktivität an, jedoch wird dringend geraten, möglichst bald Unterkunft für diese Woche zu buchen.
