Elections

Elections take place every three years for members of the Board: a President-Elect and four Vice Presidents who may serve for a maximum of two terms. All IAML members (individual and institutional) are entitled to vote. These elections are conducted using electronic voting; paper ballots are available for those members unable to vote electronically.

Officers of an Institutional Section or Subject Section (Chair, Vice-Chair and Secretary) are elected for a maximum of two three-year terms. These elections take place during the annual congress. Only full members of the international association are eligible to stand for office.

National Branches hold their own elections for national officers at various times. Contact the relevant branch for further details.
