The IAML Online Congress 2021 took place via the Zoom platform from Monday 26 until Friday 30 July. The programme featured a mixture of paper and poster sessions, panel discussions, and social hour sessions, as well as the General Assembly and other business meetings. Sessions were scheduled to make it possible for members in all parts of the world to participate in at least some of the programme during the course of the week.
This year’s Congress was held in association with the Digital Libraries for Musicology (DLfM) conference, which took place on Thursday 29 July. A joint IAML/DLfM poster session was scheduled on Wednesday 28 July and a joint paper session on Friday 30 July.

IAML Section Elections 2021
IAML Section Elections took place during the online IAML Congress in 2021. The list of candidates can be found here.
Joint IAML/DLfM poster session
This took place on Wednesday 28 July (17:00–18:30 UTC) using the gather.town platform. We chose this platform to attempt to create an interactive online user experience – as if you are really at a live poster session. Participants and presenters will join us in a 2D world with 8-bit graphics, walking around the conference centre by moving their avatar with their keyboard's arrow keys. User instructions are now available here.
The Hot Topics session took place on Friday 30 July at 17.00-18.00 UTC. Suggested topics can be found here (must be logged in to view).
Exhibitor sessions were scheduled during the breaks on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
IAML members can access recordings of many of the sessions (pending permission from the speakers) through the members-only page on the IAML website. (And if you are not a IAML member, you can join here).
