I am deeply sad to have to inform you that Anders Lönn died on 13th of May 2009. To many of us Anders was “Mr. IAML”. He had been very active in the Association since the late 1960’s, participating in the work of numerous special committees, branches and commissions. He was especially involved in cataloguing and RILM work.
Dear colleagues,
We are pleased to announce that the period within which you can benefit from lower registration costs for the IAML-IMS conference in Amsterdam has been extended till May 15! We noticed that some members need more time to make preliminary arrangements and we expect to receive many more registrations in the coming fortnight.
IAML recherche un nouvel éditeur pour son bulletin électronique.
We are deeply sad to inform you that our esteemed colleague Wolfgang Krueger passed away at the age of 66 on Thursday, 16 April 2009, after a severe illness. I'm sure most of you knew him. He was engaged in IAML for more than twenty years, for example as Chair of the Commission of Service and Training or as member of the RILM commission mixte.
IAML is seeking a new Editor for its electronic Newsletter. The successful applicant will take over this role after the Amsterdam Conference in July 2009, and will have the opportunity to work alongside the current Editor to prepare the post-conference issue.
