Julian Lloyd Webber (Cellist)
"Throughout my career I have enjoyed performing and recording works
for cello that are either less well-known or, in some cases, completely
unknown. Without the facility for reference provided by our many excellent
libraries, it simply would not have been possible for me to uncover such
works, a number of which were recorded for the first time. The service
provided by our libraries is invaluable."
Awards
The Trust has a regular programme of allocating grants in support of projects,
research and course attendance with a preference for supporting those who have
been unable to receive financial support from elsewhere. Awards
of between £100 and £5000 have been given for initial funding, with second grants being considered
in exceptional cases.
We are as ever very grateful for the invaluable support of our sponsors, who recently have included Oxford University Press, Cramer Music, Stainer & Bell, Music Sales and the Staypar Charitable Trust.
