The IFLA World Library and Information Congress (WLIC) 2017 “Libraries. Solidarity. Society”, 83rd IFLA General Conference and Assembly took place in Wroclaw, Poland, 19 to 25 August 2017. 3100 delegates from 122 countries, representing library associations from around the world, gathered in the Centennial Hall, a magnificent venue listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Katherine Penner reflects on her experience at the recent conference of the Canadian Association of Music Libraries, Archives and Documentation Centres (CAML). Undergraduate Services Librarian at the University of Manitoba, Katherine was the recipient of CAML’s First-Time Attendee Award for this year’s conference. She has also just become a member of the CAML Board in the role of Secretary.
Tom Harding reflects on his experience at this year’s conference of the Canadian Association of Music Libraries, Archives and Documentation Centres (CAML). A recent University of Toronto iSchool graduate, Tom served as a volunteer during the conference.
