Music Library Commission

The Music Library Commission has continued its professional activities during the Twenty-fifth Music Librarian Seminar, which included a meeting of the Slovak IAML group. The Seminar took place at the University Library in Bratislava on 27 - 29 September 2005 under the name of “Hudobné knihovníctvo na Slovensku”. The lecture themes of the meeting were:

Progress Report 2003

The Slovak National Group IAML has been fixated on activity evaluation of non-governmental organisation from May 1993 to December 2003. The work results have been made public in magazine “Knižnica”, volume 5, copy 3, pages 95 - 98. The article had been translated and it has been sent to editorial office of journal “Fontes Artis Musicae”.

In 2004 the Slovak National Group (SNS IAML) executed as scheduled its activity plan for this year. The chairmanship of the group concentrated on preparation of the General Meeting which took place 2-4 June 2004 at the Juraj Fándly Library in Trnava. We elected a new chairman before the resignation of our former chairman, who held this position for 10 years. Along with the General Meeting, there occurred the Twenty-fourth Music Slovak Librarian Seminar under the title of The Actual Questions of Music Slovak Librarians.
