On Wednesday, the fourth of July, the Commission on Service and Training, chaired by Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Krueger (Hochschule der Medien in Stuttgart) offered two different panels that in fact reinforced many of the similar ideas presented by each. Fifty-three people were in attendance.

The Sub-commission on Unimarc met twice during the Sydney Conference. The attendees have adopted updating of the lists “Medium of performance” and “Musical forms”.
They have also considered the other proposals which will be sent to the Permanent Unimarc Committee of IFLA.

The Cataloguing Commission hosted two sessions at the Sydney conference. The first session comprised presentations on RDA, DCMI and METS.

The IT Committee held a single working meeting in Sydney. A working membership was established with the intention of conducting business by means of a closed listserv as well as face to face at annual conferences. Most of the subsequent discussion concerned the IAML website including mechanisms for keeping content current, and encouraging broader usage of the site.
