The Information Technology committee was created in 1999 with the purpose of foreseeing the possible developments in information technology and their potential impact on the business of IAML and of music librarians and to show them in open working sessions. The current chair (from 2004) is Antony Gordon succeeding Massimo Gentili Tedeschi.

The committee will hold an open working meeting at the Sydney conference primarily to consider the proposed Web Ontology for Music — for further information see the forum
