International activities of the Branch outside the annual meeting in Ottawa focused on the continuing cooperation with the Estonian Branch. One meeting was held in Tallinn in May, with the result that Pirjo Hakuni spent one week in Estonia in December visiting several music libraries and meeting colleagues.
On the national level the most important act during 1994 was the establishment of a National Group far Cataloguing and Classification of Music. This organization works independently, but it is funded by the Branch and most of the members are also members of the Branch Board. This group has already published three bulletins, which have been circulated among the Finnish music cataloguers.
